mengapa harus bekerja di rumah?

well, sebenarnya alasanku cukup simple.

jadi prinsipku "work smart and family must be the priority one"

a. Terorganisir

Simak tips-tips berikut:

g. Jika punya waktu luang, lakukan aktivitas bersama anak-anak sehingga mereka tidak bosan di rumah terus, misalnya jalan-jalan, bersepeda, dan kegiatan lain.

Work At Home Mom - Is It really That Easy?

Here, there is a interesting story about a mother`s experience who is being working at home mom, it is so interested to read this article.so, enjoy it :)

Is it really easier being a work at home mom? Here’s what I have to go through almost everyday.

In the middle of any kind of projects, be it just trying to write articles or making the details of my downlines’ total points -- suddenly my four months baby is crying painfully. Turns out, her 4-years-old sister is showing her outrageous affection by pulling the baby’s hair! She said, “But, there’s dirt in her head, mom!”

This is the kind of situation that needed my immediate attention. By attention I mean, breastfeeding the baby -- usually takes 15 to 20 minutes while trying to explain to my older daughter about her wrong action (learning html is much more easier than having to have an argument with a toddler!).

One job done? Well, not exactly.

Still can’t go back to my computer because then the big sister wants to go to the bathroom. And 10 minutes after that, my mom came and reported that the washing machine is broken! So the next 20 minutes I’m trying hard to be a mechanic -- but fail successfully -- and then suddenly remembers that I haven’t prepared any lunch.

An hour has passed. The ideas that were previously in my head -- following me wherever I go and whatever I do, has gone. Laziness and tiredness are starting to come.

And that’s just the typical day in a work at home mom’s life ;-)

Try and search the internet about time management, working at home articles, sharing experiences with other stay at home moms. And you too will find out that working at home is just as challenging as working at the office.

Have you ever try making plans such as when to work, when to cook, when to breastfed the baby or basically do everything without any disturbances? Most of the other work at home moms will tell me the same thing. The plan will barely work.

So, what should we do then?

Me, I chose to just go ahead and work according to the house chores schedule.

I know that my ideas will often be disturbed by my baby’s crying or the time to prepare meals. That’s okay because I chose to be a wahm and felt that I already have many advantages with this choice. Not, that I never complain or lose a temper…nope, my husband will tell you exactly ;-)

But what I can do right now is just being grateful for the choice that I have -- working at home and just try to do the best with the so called spare time I have.

If I have to do the articles at 2 o’clock in the morning, so be it. The important thing is, my Editor-in-chief will received the translations at the time she opens her email the next morning.

If I have to stop my blogwalking because I need to breastfed my baby or my daughter wants to play barbie or nickjr.com, then that’s what I would do.

Also, I found that I can only do one thing at a time. Whether it’s for answering emails, updating my blogs, blogwalking or writing articles – one thing at a time.

I love to make use of the spare times I have like when I’m waiting for my little girl at school. Typing the ideas in my laptop while waiting in the car or read all the great articles I printed from the internet.

Well, this is the theory, won’t be easy though.

But, having that thankful attitude is all that it takes to make it easier. My rewards so far includes being the first person to hear my babies’ first word or a kiss from hubby for a wonderful dinner -- while checking out my monthly commissions of course ;-)

time management

“I really want to but I don’t have time”

“I’m exhausted, can’t do it”

“Easy for you because you’re a stay at home mom”

Have you ever heard or read those words above? Regardless the language or words being used, it always pointed to one thing: “I have no sufficient time.”

Those of you who is in the business world -- be it the traditional business, online marketing, direct selling or network marketing -- perhaps those are the exact words you will often hear when you’re telling someone about the prospect of a certain kind of business, done in a certain kind of way. At least, that was my personal experience ;-)

It was only two weeks ago, when someone -- a member of an entrepreneurship mailing list which I moderate -- asked about time management. Besides being a housewife, she is also a career woman and an owner of a food business which needs daily attentions just like her work. She told me about how exhausted she was to walk upon her day by day activities while trying to spare some quality time for her child.

The amazing thing is she keeps trying. Nothing stopped her from doing the super-woman-things ;-) She said none of that “I have no sufficient time” stuff, for doing this and that…everyday.

Instead of complaining, she simply asked an input on time management so that she can do anything as good as possible and keeps a healthy life on the side.

Don’t you think this is the best spirit an entrepreneur or business owner must have?

The one benefit of having your own business is the independence of arranging your own time. Being a business owner does not mean lesser jobs to be done (in fact, quite the contrary).

So many have come to me asking for advices on working at home, what kind of business should they choose, desire to own a business, wanting to quit from their existing jobs, wanting to have more time to spend with their children and so many other dreams, but it always come back to the one thing mentioned above, “I have no sufficient time.”

While I really believe this to be true for them, I am also one who believes that there are no terms of “have no sufficient time,” actually.

However, this is a very personal opinion I own. So many others will have plenty good reasons to disagree.

But, there’s nothing to loose of having an opposite mindset, isn’t it?

Please stop “blaming your time,” instead; try to manage your time efficiently. Exploit your time as maximum as possible. Divide your time for every important thing to be done.

Perhaps for some people, it will be quite impossible… But, are there other ways to achieve all dreams mentioned above?

Sometimes, the fear of failure or disappointment is the one thing that might cause us to postpone, delay or cancel time that has been agreed on.

That is why; being consistent to our dreams and working style is a very important thing.

Formulate a business plan is a must for us who want to and willing to establish a new business, any kind of business. Because it will help us to predict any possibilities we’ll be facing during the first months of establishing the business.

Besides emergency and family matters, be consistent in dividing your time. For example, a simple thing such as appreciating your business partner’s time who has spare his/her time for carrying a meeting can be a small but effective trigger to honor the time we have agreed on.

Think of time as one big round of tart. Divide it into small pieces of cakes. One piece is for working at the office, another piece or even two pieces for the children, a piece for your household and make sure that there’s a piece left for your business.

Those “pieces” could be in weekly or daily forms.

You decide. Monday up to Friday is time to work at the office, Saturday is time to take care of your business and Sunday is a full time for your children.

Or, an hour a day between 10:00 – 12:00 am is where you answer your emails; 04:00 – 05:00 pm is the time for updating websites, etc. You decide ;-)

But, if you do it in monthly form, uhm…think again, maybe you’re not the business owner type ;-)

how to sell quick product

"I can’t sell!"
"I can’t do business!”

Really, these are the most commons things you’ve probably heard or been saying to yourself. Is selling really that hard? Does it really need special skills?

Here’re some tips you could use:

1. Don’t ever feel ashamed because you have to sell something.

I live in Jakarta, Indonesia where usually mothers (of kindergarten age) hang around outside the school’s area, waiting for school to finish. And it is the best time to sell almost everything to them.
In the fasting month last year I found cheap veil accessories in a traditional market which I know can cost very expensive at malls. Hmm, I instantly asked my husband permission to spend money for my first capital. And then, I sold the hair pins in my daughter’s school and by emails! Wow, surprisingly I get many profits, plus, I get to keep the nice ones.

2. Be sure with what you sell.

Try them first. For instance, if you’re selling hair pins try to find out the quality of each item. Some has beautiful stones on them but most are quite fragile. Make sure your clients know that before buying. This will be the beginning of your credibility as an entrepreneur.

3. Know the market price so you can set a correct price in line with the quality of the products.

4. Be smart in finding unique things.

This can be as simple as: I vacationed in Singapore and found oral B toothbrush kids with princesses, mermaids, toys story pics on them. As far as I could remember there weren’t any yet in Jakarta. So, I bought a couple and sold them soon as I got back through a mailing list for moms!

5. Know the right place and timing of where and when to sell.

Selling pashminas during a mom get together event is great! You can sell more if it’s near a certain holiday celebration. Selling aromatherapy for health? It will be more appropriate if you approach a mother whose child is sick all the time for instance.

6. Don't be too pushy.

Just relax. Just talk about your products in casual conversations. People who weren’t interested at first, sooner or later will remember and ... be interested at last!

7. Sell something you yourself need.

There are plenty of advantages of selling something we need ourselves. For instance: if it’s not sold out, we can use it ourselves and it doesn’t go wasted.

what is marketing?

We've noticed that on a well known marketing web site (actually, it's on the ClickZ.com web site), there is an article with a similar title - just what is marketing? This is a very good question and the answer typically ends up (as it is in the aforementioned article) being a lot of tactics, like advertising, brand management, sales, service, pricing, email marketing, etc. That's a good start, but far from complete.
And that's one of the problems with the web. There are lots of web sites out there with people claiming to be knowledgeable about marketing. In fact, if you go to search engines like Google and type in marketing, you'll come up with over 16,000,000 web pages! By the time you've got that many people claiming to be experts in marketing, it's difficult to even know what marketing means.
MARKETING IS NOT TACTICS
When most people think of marketing, they think of marketing tactics. People associate marketing with tactics, partly because they're fun. Advertising is fun, promotions are fun, and so is sending out email campaigns and every other similar tactic. But tactics, while the most salient aspects of marketing, are similar to the tactics of sport. They're very important, but useless without having a sound basis of knowledge.
And so it is with marketing. Marketing is far more than tactics. Marketing is analysis, and a sound marketing strategy is based on this analysis.

OBVIOUSLY, MARKETING IS ABOUT CUSTOMERS
What type of analysis are we talking about? Well, analysis about customers, for example. Having a solid understanding of customers means having a solid understanding about how customers behave, their motivations, their perceptions and preferences. It means segmenting the market correctly and not in the way that most companies think about segmentation (if they ever do).
It means having a profound understanding of their attitudes, their knowledge and their emotions. Without having this knowledge, the tactics of marketing are just blowing in the wind. You'll hope that the tactics work, but be blissfully unaware about whether anyone would want to pay attention or listen.

WHAT ABOUT COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS?
Rarely do we see marketing sites deal with competitive analysis (we do!). Marketing is also about understanding competition. But not just listing off who the competitors are. It means thinking about their competitive reactions, their objectives and capabilities. It means understanding competitive forces in an industry as well.

tips for working at home

there are some tips for working at home. expecially for the beginner its`s necessary to know some knowledges before starting our business.this article, i took from this website

Working from Home:
10 rules for Success in your home business.

Rule 1 - It isn’t as bad as you think, it will look better in the morning

If there is one experience universal to ALL home business owners, particularly those running a business on the internet working fromk home, it's the occasional feeling that your just spinning your wheels and not getting anywhere. The number of people who give up on their businesses just as they approach the brink of success is staggering. So hang in there and remind yourself, when things look bleak, tomorrow is another day, things really aren't as bad as they seem and things really WILL look better in the morning.

Rule 2 - Get mad, then get over it

OK, I concede this is more general advice than home business advice but it applies in your home business just as it does anywhere else. Resentment and unexpressed anger really don't hurt anyone but the person feeling resentful and angry. Have you ever noticed how completely unproductive you are when burdened by resentment and anger? So feel it, express it (constructively) and then move on. As the man said, "get over it".

Rule 3 - Avoid having your ego so close to your position that when your position falls your ego goes with it

Over the course of my career I have, from time to time, met people whose identity and sense of self-worth is so enmeshed in what they do for a living that they literally don't have an identity outside of their work. Because they rely on an external source for their self-esteem and confidence, they find it necessary to continually and relentlessly bolster their personal positions, often at the expense of others, often resorting to political maneuvring in the workplace to maintain and improve their supposed 'status'.

These people are the 'empire builders' you sometimes find in organizations. They jealously guard their power base all the while gathering unto themselves more and more responsibility, beyond the point of being able to do everything they take on.

Because their identity and sense of self-worth depends upon their position within their organization, what happens when their position disappears, such as in a corporate downsizing? It freefalls.

Don't let this happen to you. Remember that you are something separate and distinct from your business. Sure, you can be proud and pleased with your accomplishments but don't define yourself through them. Your self-worth is something that comes from inside your human self, not your business.
Ironically, keeping a professional detachment is more likely to secure the ultimate success of your business. Detachment brings perspective, objectivity and clarity, which helps you make better quality decisions.

Rule 4 - It can be done

Don't allow self-imposed limitations to restrict what you can and will do. You can do anything if you set your mind to it. Well, of course, it must be something that is within your power - you can't just set your mind on growing a third arm, for example.

But for anything that is within human power and capability, the saying "where there's a will is a way" is so true.

Get into the discipline of planning your life and where you want it to go. By setting goals and planning the steps that will help you reach them, you can achieve literally anything your heart desires.

Rule 5 - Be careful what you choose, you may get it

Following on from this, it should go without saying that what you set for your goals is something you truly want because if you do practice the discipline of goal setting you will surely get it.

Rule 6 - Don't let adverse facts stand in the way of a good decision

Keep your eye on the prize and don't be distracted by what's happening on the sidelines. Sure, you may not have entered the marathon had you known there were going to be 1,000 other runners but does that mean entering the marathon was a bad idea? No.

Make your decisions based on quality information and what's in the best interests of your business. If someone else comes along who represents competition for your business, don't be put off your game. Just run your own race. There's ALWAYS a way to distinguish yourself from your competition.

Rule 7 - You can't make someone else's choices. You shouldn't let someone else make yours

IGNORE your mother when she tells you you're crazy for chucking in your nice SAFE secure little job to start your own business. Follow your dream, no-one else's.

Rule 8 - Check small things

Like the fine print in contracts. Like the URL in that sales letter you've just put the finishing touches on. Like your spelling and punctuation. In other words, pay attention to detail.

Rule 9 - Share credit

You've heard the saying, "no man is an island". No woman is either. Remember and acknowledge the people who have helped and continue to help you get where you want to go. Acknowledge the achievements of others.
Rule 10 – Think outside of the box.

Always try and come up with brand new ideas. If you think you have found a new idea, check it on the internet to see if anyone else is doing the same thing. If they are, change things round a little and think outside of the box. Offer something extra that they are not!
